Municipal Court Important Information:
Online payments require the defendant to waive his/her right to a jury trial and enter a plea of Nolo Contendere(No Contest) or Guilty. Please note: a $2.50 fee is added to every online payment transaction. Payment for multiple violations on the same online transaction will incur only one $2.50 fee.
Full Payment of Fine - Any violation paid online will be recorded as a conviction and reported to the State of Texas Department of Public Safety. Full payment will automatically forfeit any right for Defensive Driving or Deferred Disposition for your citation.
Partial Payment - Partial payments may be submitted online ONLY on cases where you have already entered a plea and the Court has granted time to pay the balance.
Request for Deferred Disposition - This option is available for certain violations. The full fine amount is due at the time of your request. Upon full payment of the window fine you may request a five (5) day deferral period to not receive any further citations in the City of Roanoke. If you are 24 years old or younger you will be required to complete a ninety (90) day probation and complete a driving safety course. Please call the Court for additional information. You will need to download the 1.) Motion for Deferred Disposition Request form, fill it out completely with signatures and 2.) Include a copy of your Valid ID/Texas Driver’s License. Without the required documents your payment/request can be rejected.
Request for Defensive Driving - This cannot be submitted online. Please contact the Roanoke Municipal Court for further information.
Warrant Payments - WARNING: If payment is made outside business hours, the warrant will not be cleared until the following business day.
Any warrant paid online will be recorded as a conviction and could be reported to the Texas Department of Public Safety. A conviction to your driving record may incur points and possible surcharges with the State of Texas.
Receipt of Payment: The Court will usually receive your payment the following business day; however, on weekends and holidays your payment will not be received until the following business day after the holiday/weekend.
