City of Golden Payment Options and Fees
The City of Golden uses a third-party vendor for payment processing. Payment fees are charged by the vendor and go directly to the payment service provider, not to the City.
Fees
- Utility Billing & Tax Transactions: 3.5% of the transaction amount (minimum $2.50)
- Municipal Court Transactions: 3.7% of the transaction amount (minimum $2.50)
- Online and IVR Payments: Additional $1.25 vendor fee applies for Utility Billing and $1.50 for Municipal Court
- In-Person Card Payments: Card surcharge also applies
Paying online by e-check is free. To avoid fees, use the e-check option.
