If you are requesting defensive driving, you must appear in person or make your request by certified mail.
You may request deferred disposition online unless you hold a commercial driver license. Violations under Rules of the Road-Subtitle C of the Transportation Code are not eligible for Deferred Disposition if you hold a Commercial DL.
**Please note: If you are requesting deferred on a moving violation and are under the age of 25, you are required to take the driver safety course and return the certificate to the court by the end of the 90 day deferral period. In addition, provisional DL holders are required to retake the DPS driving test and return the documentation.**
